What if you can’t afford a therapist? This is a real problem these days, even when insurance covers some of the costs but especially if you don’t have mental health benefits. First, there are online resources and local organizations in most areas that offer free or reduced rate counseling or therapy options. The folks at the Lifehacker website have some suggestions. Here is a link to 81 different resources that can provide you with support, help and guidance. The Open Path Collective website actually lists reduced-fee therapists in your area.
